  • Ground Beef: Lean ground beef is browned and seasoned, forming the hearty centerpiece of the dish.
  • Cheese: A blend of shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese melts beautifully and adds creamy richness.
  • Toppings: Customize with toppings such as jalapeรฑos, olives, diced tomatoes, green onions, sour cream, and guacamole.
  • Seasonings: Taco seasoning gives the ground beef a classic nacho flavor.

Recipe Steps

  1. Preheat Oven: If baking, preheat your oven and prepare a baking sheet or oven-safe platter.
  2. Cook the Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet, draining any excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water according to the seasoning packet instructions. Simmer until thickened.
  3. Layer the Nachos: On the baking sheet, create a layer of Doritos. Spoon the seasoned ground beef over the chips, then sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
  4. Bake: If baking, place in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Add Toppings: Remove from the oven and add your chosen toppings: jalapeรฑos, olives, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Dollops of sour cream and guacamole can be added last.
