  • 1 cup cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 cup rice cooked
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 2 celery stalks diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can 14 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a big pot over a medium heat. Add the diced carrots, diced celery, and finely chopped onion. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
