Step 2: Sear the Meatballs

3.Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides until cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Whiskey Peach BBQ Sauce

4.In the same skillet, sauté 1 finely chopped onion until soft. Add 2 cloves minced garlic and cook for another minute.

5.Stir in 1/4 cup whiskey, simmering for 2-3 minutes to let the alcohol cook off.

6.Add 1/2 cup peach preserves (or 2 fresh peaches, diced), 1 cup BBQ sauce, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 4: Coat the Meatballs

7.Return the meatballs to the skillet and toss them in the whiskey peach BBQ sauce, making sure they are well coated. Let everything simmer together for another 5 minutes.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

8.Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley. These meatballs pair perfectly with toothpicks for an easy appetizer or alongside mashed potatoes or rice for a main dish.

Storage Options

Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Freezer: You can freeze cooked meatballs and sauce for up to 3 months. Thaw and reheat in a skillet or microwave.
