  • 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream for serving
  • 0.5 cup chopped lettuce for garnish
  • 1 jalapeno sliced, optional

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water to the beef, simmer until thickened.
  • Roll out puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into 8 squares.
  • Place pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spoon beef mixture onto one half of each pastry square, top with cheese and salsa.
  • Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve with lettuce, sour cream, and jalapeno slices.

Notes

You can substitute ground beef with cooked chicken or beans for a vegetarian option.
