  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 24 Oreo cookies broken into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Sift the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder together and fold into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the broken Oreo pieces, reserving a handful for topping.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle reserved Oreo pieces over the top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cooled brownies.
