  • 4 pieces chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices ham thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard optional

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to about 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet.
  • Place one slice of Swiss cheese and one slice of ham on each chicken breast. Roll up tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  • Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish. Dredge each chicken roll in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  • In another bowl, mix bread crumbs and paprika. Roll the chicken in the bread crumb mixture until evenly coated.
  • Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken rolls on all sides, about 5 minutes total.
  • Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked. Serve with Dijon mustard, if desired.

Notes

Ensure that chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Optionally, you can serve with steamed vegetables or a light salad.
