  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Dip onion rings into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until coated.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
  • Fry onion rings a few at a time until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
