  • 6 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise use real mayonnaise for better flavor
  • 1 teaspoon mustard preferably Dijon
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.125 teaspoon paprika for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon chives finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 minutes.
  • Remove eggs from hot water, cool under cold running water, and peel.
  • Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a medium bowl; set aside whites.
  • Mash yolks with a fork and stir in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  • Fill egg whites with yolk mixture. Sprinkle with paprika and chives.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For an added twist, try incorporating finely chopped pickles or a splash of hot sauce into the yolk mixture.
