Ingredients
 

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or boiled)
  • 1 packet 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 bag 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Step 2: Mix the Filling
  • Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, 1 cup of shredded cheese, half of the crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
  • Layer the Mixture: Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Add Tater Tots: Arrange the frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
  • Top with Cheese & Bacon: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and crumbled bacon over the tater tots.
  • Step 4: Bake
  • Bake the Casserole: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and golden brown.
  • Step 5: Serve
  • Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with chopped green onions if desired, and serve hot.
