Ingredients
 

  • For the Salad:
  • 1 lb steak sirloin, ribeye, or flank work well
  • 6 cups mixed greens such as arugula, spinach, or romaine
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • ½ red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • ½ cucumber thinly sliced
  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese or feta
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for searing
  • For the Dressing:
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season & Sear the Steak:
  • Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare), or cook to your preferred doneness.
  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • Make the Dressing:
  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, Dijon, garlic, honey, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Assemble the Salad:
  • In a large bowl or platter, layer greens, tomatoes, onions, cucumber, and avocado.
  • Top with sliced steak and crumbled cheese.
  • Drizzle & Serve:
  • Drizzle with dressing just before serving, or serve it on the side.
  • Enjoy immediately.
