Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just blended.
Fold in the chocolate chips, then spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is no longer shiny. Do not overbake.
Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
