Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Add the cold butter pieces and mix using a pastry cutter or fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In another bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface, and gently knead a few times to bring it together. Pat into a circle about 1 inch thick.
Cut into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. Remove from oven and let cool.
