  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers for topping
  • 0.25 cup melted butter

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, 1 cup of the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Fold in the shredded chicken until well coated.
  • Transfer the chicken mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and light mayonnaise.
