Ingredients

  • 16 ounces dry roasted peanuts unsalted or lightly salted
  • 16 ounces roasted almonds unsalted or lightly salted
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces German chocolate bar broken into pieces
  • 32 ounces almond bark or vanilla candy coating chopped or broken into pieces for easier melting

Instructions

Layer the Ingredients:

  • Start by placing half of the peanuts and almonds in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Next, add the chocolate chips and German chocolate pieces.
  • Top with the remaining peanuts and almonds.
  • Finally, cover everything with the almond bark or candy coating.

Cook the Candy:

  • Set your crockpot to low heat. Cover and let cook for 1 to 2 hours without stirring. The exact time may vary based on your crockpot.
  • After the initial cooking time, check the mixture to see if the chocolate is melted. If not, cover and continue cooking, checking every 15 minutes.

Stir and Drop:

  • Once all the chocolate is melted, stir the mixture well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  • Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, drop the candy mixture onto parchment paper or waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Make sure they are spaced out so they don't stick together.

Cool the Candy:

  • Allow the candy to cool and harden completely at room temperature. This may take several hours. You can speed up the process by placing the trays in the refrigerator.

Serve or Store:

  • Once set, the candy can be served immediately or stored.
  • To store, place the candy in an airtight container and keep it in a cool, dry place. In the refrigerator, it can last for up to a month.
