Ingredients
 

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small lime juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely diced
  • 1 small tomato diced
  • 1 jalapeño finely chopped (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Avocados: Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  • Mash the Avocados: Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher until they reach your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
  • Add Lime Juice and Seasonings: Stir in the lime juice, salt, and black pepper to enhance the flavor.
  • Mix in the Add-Ins: Add the red onion, tomato, jalapeño (if using), cilantro, and garlic (if using). Mix gently to combine.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning with more lime juice or salt, if needed.
  • Serve: Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a side to your favorite Mexican dishes.
