  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 large egg beaten

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • Add melted butter, beaten egg, and salt to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
  • Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Cover and let the rolls rise for 20-30 minutes until doubled.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and brush with additional melted butter if desired. Serve warm.
