Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the diced jalapeño and sauté for 2 minutes until softened.
Reduce the heat to low and add the half and half to the saucepan.
Gradually stir in the shredded white American cheese, mixing until it’s completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
Serve hot, garnished with diced tomatoes and cilantro if desired.
Notes
Serve with chips for dipping. For a spicier version, keep the seeds in the jalapeño.
