  • 12 oz egg noodles uncooked
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz can
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 cup peas frozen
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  • Gently fold the cooked noodles, peas, and 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese into the chicken mixture. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, then drizzle with melted butter.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the chicken with turkey for a different twist. Adding a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder can enhance the flavor as well.
