  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably whole wheat
  • 1 piece egg beaten
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup ketchup plus more for topping
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, ketchup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spread additional ketchup on top of the loaf for a glaze.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding Italian herbs or some Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture.
