Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until onions are translucent.
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked pasta, followed by half of the beef sauce, and then half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers.
Sprinkle the top with grated parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
