  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 2 cups tortilla chips coarsely crushed

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and water, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a baking dish, layer crushed tortilla chips at the bottom.
  • Spread the seasoned beef over the chips, and top with cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbling, about 20 minutes.
