Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large pot fitted with a steamer basket, bring about an inch of water to a boil.
Place the carrot sticks in the steamer basket and cover. Steam for about 10-15 minutes, or until tender.
Once steamed, transfer the carrots to a serving dish. Toss with butter if desired, and season with salt and pepper.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a sweeter variation, try adding a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup before serving.
