Instructions
Preparation Steps
Season the steak pieces with salt and black pepper.
Dredge the steak in flour, shaking off excess.
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat and brown steak on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add onions and sauté until softened.
Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Bring to a simmer.
Return the steak to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes until meat is tender.
Stir in butter, if using. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding sliced mushrooms or bell peppers to the onions.
