116 oz can refrigerated biscuit dough or 3 cups cooked elbow macaroni
Instructions
Preheat Oven:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper until the meat is browned and veggies are soft—about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess grease.
Add Sauce Ingredients:
Stir in garlic, tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, mustard, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble the Casserole:
For biscuit topping: Pour the beef mixture into the baking dish, top with 1 cup shredded cheese, then place biscuit dough pieces evenly over the top.
For pasta version: Mix cooked pasta into the beef mixture, pour into dish, and top with cheese.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden and cooked through or cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or extra cheese if desired.
Notes
You can add more veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
