  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.25 cup parsley fresh, chopped
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add garlic, sautéed for 1 minute, then add shrimp. Sauté until shrimp are pink.
  • Pour in white wine and lemon juice, add red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add pasta to the skillet, toss to coat. Stir in parsley and Parmesan cheese.
  • Season with salt and black pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute chicken broth for white wine for a non-alcoholic version of this dish. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
