  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast approximately 2 and 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1 cup warm water 110°F to 115°F
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle shape and place on a greased sheet pan.
  • Cut the dough into strips. Brush with remaining olive oil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder, oregano, and basil and brush over warm breadsticks.

Notes

Serve with your favorite marinara sauce for dipping.
