Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
In a large bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Roll the dough out into a rectangle shape and place on a greased sheet pan.
Cut the dough into strips. Brush with remaining olive oil and bake for 20 minutes.
Mix melted butter with garlic powder, oregano, and basil and brush over warm breadsticks.
Notes
Serve with your favorite marinara sauce for dipping.
