  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt plus extra for sprinkling
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet, and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
