  • 3 cups cooked chicken diced or shredded
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz can
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups Ritz crackers crushed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the diced chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Spread the chicken mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Top with 0.5 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter. Sprinkle the mixture over the casserole.
  • Top with the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This casserole is perfect for busy weeknights and can be prepared ahead of time. It freezes well, too!
