Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange the Ritz crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until the mixture begins to boil. Let it boil for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
Carefully pour the hot mixture over the arranged crackers and spread evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the toffee layer. Let sit for 5 minutes until the chocolate begins to melt, then spread it out evenly over the toffee.

Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving. Store in an airtight container.
