Ingredients

Ingredients for Chocolate Cookie Balls:

  • 2 cups chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs about 20 cookies
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips melted
  • Optional garnishes include crushed coconut chopped nuts, and sprinkles.

Instructions

  • In a food processor, pulse chocolate sandwich cookies until they form fine crumbs.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs, softened cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and the mixture reaches a dough-like consistency.
  • Shape the mixture into bite-sized balls using your hands. Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in short bursts, stirring between each burst until smooth.
  • Using a fork or toothpick, dip each chilled cookie ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place the coated cookie balls back on the parchment-lined tray.
  • If desired, sprinkle toppings like chopped nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut on top of the chocolate-coated balls.
  • Refrigerate the chocolate cookie balls for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the chocolate coating is set.
  • Once set, transfer the chocolate cookie balls to a serving platter or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Serve and enjoy these delectable Chocolate Cookie Balls, savoring the rich and creamy combination of chocolate cookie centers and a decadent chocolate coating!
