  • 1 cup pizza sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices cut in halves
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 0.25 cup black olives sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  • Brush the outside of the peppers with olive oil and place them in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the pizza sauce with Italian seasoning.
  • Spoon a tablespoon of the sauce into each bell pepper.
  • Divide the mushrooms, olives, and pepperoni among the peppers.
  • Fill each pepper with mozzarella cheese and top with additional pepperoni if desired.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
