Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook onion and bell pepper until softened.
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Mix in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper with the beef mixture.
In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, combine pasta and beef mixture. Top with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with grated parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight. Just bake it when you're ready to serve.
