Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin pan.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, and cream cheese. Mix until a dough forms.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and press into the prepared mini muffin pan, forming a cup shape.
In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, and beaten egg until smooth.
Stir in the chopped pecans and a pinch of salt into the sugar mixture.
Fill each dough cup with the pecan mixture, about 2/3 full.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store the pecan tassies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
