Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, and cream cheese. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and press into the prepared mini muffin pan, forming a cup shape.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, and beaten egg until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped pecans and a pinch of salt into the sugar mixture.
  • Fill each dough cup with the pecan mixture, about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store the pecan tassies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
