  • 1 egg white egg white slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the beaten egg white, vanilla extract, and water.
  • Add the mixed nuts to the egg white mixture and toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the nuts and mix until evenly coated.
  • Spread the nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
