Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
In another bowl, combine the beaten egg white, vanilla extract, and water.
Add the mixed nuts to the egg white mixture and toss to coat.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the nuts and mix until evenly coated.
Spread the nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
