Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
In a separate saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and orange zest. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
