Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking apart with a spoon.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until onion is translucent.
Stir in pasta sauce, beef broth, water, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
Add broken lasagna noodles. Stir to ensure they are submerged in the liquid. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once noodles are tender, dot the ricotta over the top. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly.
Cover and cook until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Feel free to add your own favorite vegetables or use ground turkey for a lighter version.
