Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine 2.5 cups flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in melted butter until evenly moistened.
Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Bake the pressed mixture in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Mix caramel sauce with 3 tablespoons of flour. Pour over the baked crust.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over the caramel layer.
Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For a nuttier flavor, try toasting the pecans before using them.
