  • 2 pounds ground beef 85% lean preferred
  • 1 medium head cabbage shredded
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 packages bread dough thawed if frozen
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onions until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the shredded cabbage, salt, and pepper to the beef. Cook until cabbage is wilted.
  • Roll out each piece of bread dough into a rectangle. Fill with beef mixture and seal edges.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet, seam side down. Brush tops with melted butter.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven! Feel free to add cheese for extra flavor.
