  • 1 jalapeño seeded, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

  • In a medium bowl, combine the diced mango, red bell pepper, and red onion.
  • Add the chopped cilantro and minced jalapeño to the bowl.
  • Pour the lime juice over the mixture and stir to combine.
  • Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For more spice, leave the seeds in the jalapeño. If you prefer less heat, use a small amount of minced jalapeño or omit it altogether.
