  • 1.5 pounds carrots peeled and cut into sticks
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar light or dark
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add carrots and cook until tender, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Drain the carrots and set aside. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in honey and brown sugar until dissolved.
  • Add carrots back to the pot and toss to coat. Continue to cook until carrots are glazed with the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a different flavor, try substituting maple syrup for honey.
