Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 2.5 cups beef broth low sodium
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
  • Add beef broth, milk, elbow macaroni, and tomato paste. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  • Cover and let it cook for about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked to your liking.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and creamy. Serve warm.

Notes

For a spicier variation, add 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can also substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
