Instructions
Make the Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and whisk in sugars until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until fully incorporated.
Stir in cocoa powder and salt, then fold in the flour until just combined—do not overmix.
Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until the edges are set and a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely in the pan.
Make the Ganache:
Heat cream in a small saucepan or microwave until just beginning to simmer.
Pour over chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
Spread ganache evenly over the cooled brownies.
Finish with Topping:
Immediately sprinkle the candy-coated chips over the ganache.
Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour until the ganache sets. Slice into 12 bars and serve.
Notes
Store the brownies in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
