  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk warmed to 110°F
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 4 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and the yeast mixture. Add beaten eggs and mix well.
  • Gradually add butter, one tablespoon at a time, until fully incorporated.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
  • Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, shape into balls, and place on a baking sheet. Let rise again until puffy.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

These buns are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
