Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles, ham, peas, half of the cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper. You can also substitute the cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken soup if preferred.
