  • 1 cup cooked ham diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese sharp
  • 5 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions optional, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, ham, and 3/4 cup of the cheese.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the hash brown mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the ham with cooked bacon or sausage for a different flavor profile. Leftover casserole can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
