  • 1.5 lbs frozen hashbrowns thawed
  • 8 oz ham diced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 8 eggs large
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  • Layer the hashbrowns evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the diced ham over the hashbrowns followed by the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top of the hashbrown, ham, and cheese layers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the center of the casserole is set and the top is lightly golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, you can add chopped green onions or jalapeños to the casserole before baking. Serve with your favorite salsa or hot sauce on the side.
