Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through.
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the tomato sauce and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Warm the taco shells according to the package instructions.
Assemble the tacos by filling each shell with the turkey mixture, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add fresh jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce.
