  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 cup white rice uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
  • 0.25 cup green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until onions are translucent.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in white rice, beef broth, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until rice is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  • Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
