  • 12 oz jumbo pasta shells about 24 shells
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 lb ground lamb or ground beef
  • 1 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 0.25 cup parsley fresh, chopped

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground lamb, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat with ricotta, feta, and half of the parsley.
  • Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Stuff each shell with the meat and cheese mixture. Arrange the stuffed shells in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells.
  • Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with the remaining parsley before serving.

Notes

You can prepare this dish a day in advance and bake it just before serving. Store covered in the refrigerator.
