Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating well until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Using a tablespoon, scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are just set.
Immediately place a Hershey's Kiss in the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
